Did you know that The Ocular Octopus is from Iowa City, IA? Iowa City was the original capital of the state until it was moved in 1857 to Des Moines to be more centrally located. What still remains is the distinctive Old Capital building, famous for it’s 23 3/4 karat gold leaf covered dome. This has been an icon for Iowa City and Oliver wanted to share it with you!

Have you heard about THE WAVE in iowa City? After the first quarter of the football game all of the fans and players turn and wave to the kids at the children’s hospital! It was named one of the best traditions in college sports. The Ocular Octopus has 8 ways to wave And he loves making those kids smile!
The Ocular Octopus was born in Iowa City during a long winter a few years ago. While this isn’t normally his natural habitat, He has learned to embrace the farm life and now cherishes every moment outside. Have you found your self more grateful for the little things during this pandemic? We sure have!
