There are a few details we wanted to make sure we got right about wearing a prosthesis!
Each Set of The Ocular Octopus' Eyes are made specifically to fit that Octopus. Just like a human ocular prosthesis, there are special details about each and every eye that make it special and unique
Each color of octopus represents a general reason or eye loss. (But you can pick what ever color you want!)
Mint : “I was born this way!” Microphthalmia, anophthalmia
Purple : Accident or fluke. Wrong place at the wrong time.
Yellow: “Know the Glow” represents those impacted by cancer or other aquired eye diseases. 20 different conditions can be detected by the glow.
Like Humans, The best way to put The Ocular Octopus' eyes in is by going under his upper eye lid first, then gently bring the bottom eye lid down and around the prosthesis.
When taking the prosthesis out, simply going down and under the prosthesis, moving the lower lid first, then pulling the prosthesis out from under the upper eye lid.
